Vodka Till Death is a fanzine consisting of harsh b/w aesthetic collages. Its inspiration is around subjects such as fetishism, pessimism,negativity and fun. Voda Till Death considers itself as a scavenger of urban decay.
How did it began and what did you want to express?
We wanted it ironic, punk, trash, poetic, violent, paraphilic, tragic, funny, anti-authoritarian, lustful, tender and cynical, a dead-end, free of compulsive hopes and good intentions ..
The black and white babbling that surrounds us every time we leave the house, that deafening constant noise in our ears, needed to be under control, and that’s was the first reason, for us ended up with this specific form of images and not text. The image does not need a subtitle or translation.
The second reason is that we are tired of reading hyper-analytically , self-center fancy-pancy bullshits for page after page, that usually end up in nothing, and remain a mental masturbation in low cost prints and a narcissistic pep talk.
Can you describe me the creative procedure?
There is no procedure or specific periods that we publish.It depens of the urban stimulation ,and our need to decompress our brain neurons.And lets not forget the importan shit, money for printing.! That’s why some issues are separate by months and others by days. We have highly respect for the randomness (as in all the arts)
The collage material is yours or you gather it from other sources as well?
Mostly ours and works from our friends and collaborators.We are trying to reduce Internet material as much as possible.
What inspires you?
Anyone and anything that pisses on the holygrail of expetation and hopes of middle-class bigots and burn down to ashes they’re hypocritical, ethical, conservative and narrow-minded principles. We are scavengers of urban decay.
What are your future expectations regarding your art?
We want to create a “Being”. Our own “Creature” a Frankenstein that his members will be prints, movies, music, paintings, performances, fashion, with a healthy vascular system, and a inconsistent compatibility. A Frankenstein provocateur that will incorporate works and acts of related or unrelated creators.
