Once again here’s some stuff I listened/discovered in January, some released during it while others not. Enjoy!

Χωρίς Οίκτο (Choris Ikto) – Εύκολη Λεία (Easy Prey)
This new release of the Athenian hardcore punk supergroup reveals a more dancy and melodic side of theirs, of course without losing their distinct US hardcore punk worship.

Lifeless Dark – Who Will Be The Victims?
US thrash punx attack! Don’t sleep on it!

Torso – Build & Break
Californian hardcore punk powerhouse Torso return with a vicious 4-track EP, Build & (Will) Break (You), even more than before.

Litige – Fuite En Avant
Another band coming from straight out of the unique French punk rock scene. You’ll definitely dance to that one.

BRUTUS – Burst
This record from the Belgian trio blends grunge, punk, noise rock & indie in a perfect way with its quirky melodic vocals helping in the integration. Listen to “Burst” and keep an eye on their new album coming out in 2o19.

The War Goes On – s/t
Members of No Hope For The Kids continue the melodic K-town punk rock tradition with The War Goes On. An amazing album to sing along to about your crappy Mondays and urban dysphoria. Their amazing set a few days back in Athens reminded me to take another listen, gladly.

Arboricidio – s/t
Melodic crust/d-beat from London featuring members of Morrow. They played an amazing set in Athens last Saturday which made me to get into them even more. Look out for their next album coming out in 2019 on Alerta Antifascista Records.

Warthog – s/t
Soundtrack to punching awful people! US hardcore at its best! Don’t miss ‘em on the 6th of March in Athens.

Cold Leather – Smart Moves
Super post-punkish punk rock from Berlin. Their live sets are even higher in energy than this record, if that’s even possible. Don’t miss them if they’re near!

Las Poftas / Cold Brats – Split
This is a Romanian collaboration between the weird punk rock of Las Poftas and the noisy post-punk of Cold brats, two friendly bands from Bucharest that decided to seal the friendship with this split.
